Introduction

The MARITIM Hotel, which has been completed renovated in summer 2009, is a luxurious beach resort & spa offering the highest international standards. Set in 25 hectares of a picturesque tropical garden estate, Balaclava, which dates back to the 18th Century, this extremely popular hotel is located on the northwest coast of Mauritius approx. 45 minutes from the airport. On the northern border the Citron River flows over dams and cascades into a shallow lagoon integrated in the lush tropical vegetation. The hotel's remarkable setting, overlooking the enchanting Turtle Bay - the first Marine National Park in Mauritius with well-preserved underwater life - and its perfect blend of tropical and colonial architecture provide an elegant background for a sophisticated, yet relaxing holiday.
